Last Steam Train to Greenport

These photos are from the last steam trip to Greenport 6/5/55 - I'm the kid standing near engine #39. I took the trip with my Great Uncle, who was a LIRR train buff and lived through many of the golden years.

My brother met Ron Ziel a few years ago at a bookstore and he had him autograph one of his books for me. As I was reading through it, I noticed a photo from the last steam trip. #39 had stopped in Hicksville, enroute to the east end. Anyway, upon closer examination, there I was with my Great Uncle along side the tracks.
